developing countries. The firm is involved in the design and elaboration of materials to
disseminate knowledge in sensitive areas of the water sector leading to improved governance.
Those areas include transparency, institutional development, financing, and knowledge
management.

WaterLearn has experience in the design and implementation of training and materials for the
water sector. It has experience working in Europe, Latin America and Africa. Recent experience
includes the involvement in the preparation of the II World Water Development Report and the
IV World Water Forum in topics related to capacity building and social learning.

American Forum on Sanitation. Environmental
and Basic Sanitation: Challenges for Life" to be
held on the 19-23 November 2007 en Cali,
Colombia.

The main theme is sanitation. Since the United
Nations has declared 2008 as the International
Year of this issue and that in Latin America
51% of rural and 14% urban population lack
access to improved systems of sanitation.

WaterLearn announces the Symposium 'Water
for a Changing World: Enhancing Local
Knowledge and Capacity" to be held in Delft,
the Netherlands on the 13-15 June 2007.

On the occasion of its 50th anniversary,
UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education
aims to explore the “future agenda” for
knowledge and capacity enhancement in the
water sector.
